Artist's Comments  [EDIT]: My layers are a bit screwy, but I took ~Rondomness's advice and made the snow on his back and tail a bit more obvious. :3 ... Yes, once again, it's Okami fanart...  But seriously, with such an amazing, inspiring game, how can you NOT constantly draw fanart for it?  Oki is such an awesome character, isn't he?  The part of the game that he's in (Kamui, the Wawku Shrine, etc.) is pretty much my favourite part of the game, and I always thought it would be fun to draw a wolf with a random snowy background! :3 So here's the courageous Oina warrior himself, braving the fierce blizzards that blow down from Ezofuji and ravage his beloved homeland of Kamui... I even added a bunch of snow heaped on his back!  I'm seriously amazed at how good this turned out, 'cause this is like the fastest I've ever finished making a decent wolf drawing...  I think the entire lineart only took me about 15 minutes (I drew it in art class xD), and most of the digital coloring took me about 2 hours... O_O Putting all the finishing touches took me a lot longer than that, but still, that's gotta be a record for me!  And this is also one of the first times I've actually drawn a complete digital background!This gives me an awesome idea -- I should totally make an Oki icon to match the Ammy icon I made a few months ago! :3 Please at least leave a comment, I'd really love to hear some feedback on this one!  ~~♥  ♥~~Artwork © =WolvenFlames Oki © Clover Studio, Okami Media: .7 Mechanical Pencil, Photoshop Elements 6 Time: 3-4 hours   |
